Another Downtown Drag event was held at Café Downtown last Saturday.

The event celebrated the one year anniversary of drag events in Fort-Coulonge, with the proceeds raised at the event going to Bouffe Pontiac.

The event was organized by Fort-Coulonge native Mathew Armour and was the sixth drag show in the town held this year. Armour said the event has grown every time he has returned.

Armour performs in the shows under the moniker Matty Longlegs.

“It means a lot to advocate for diversity and inclusivity for everyone and I love seeing the Pontiac progress on being more open to the LGBTQ plus community,” said Armour at the event.

The next drag show in Coulonge will be held on Feb. 18 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The event will feature two drag queens for Canada’s Drag Race, according to Armour. You can find details and tickets at Downtown Drag events on Facebook.
