The Pontiac Market Fall Fair was recently held at the Luskville Community Centre. During the market, guests could shop at the various booths and also take part in a turkey dinner which was provided for $15.

While the turnout wasn’t what they hoped, vendors saw a steady trickle of visitors throughout the afternoon the market was open.

Jennifer Larose, organizer of the market said that the market served as a good trial run for . . .

their upcoming Christmas Pontiac Market, which will take place on November 5.

The markets are put on by Blés d’Or de Luskville, which Larose serves as vice president of, which is an organization that provides activities for seniors like bingo, dances, suppers and trips.

The market was located in front of the road leading to the Luskville Falls Trail, in the hope it would attract potential hikers.

“It would be nice to see more support and more people coming out because when they do then the artisans are encouraged to come and the event keeps going,” said Larose, who hopes for a bigger turn out at the November 5 Christmas Market.

“The Christmas one will be called Christmas in the valley,” said Larose. “We’re gonna have another organization with us. So we’re gonna have a lot more vendors. I want to see lots of participation. I want people to come out of their house and come in to buy some Christmas gifts, lots of goodies for sale.”

It will cost $25 to set up a table at the Christmas market and if you are interested you can email marchepontiacmarket@gmail.com.
