Quebec has not reported any new hospitalizations and is facing a decline in COVID-19 patients.
In the past 24 hours, there has been a decrease of 37 patients with the total number of patients currently standing at 1,562 in hospitals.
The total deaths since . . .
the start of the pandemic sits at 15,326 according to the government of Quebec.
There have been 626 new cases reported, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,060,045.
Around 5,039 health care workers are absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.).
In regards to wearing the masks since the mask mandate has been lifted people are able to choose whether to wear them or not. During a press conference Christian Dubé, Minister of Health and Social Services, highlighted that everyone should respect other’s choices and for him personally he plans on continuing to wear the mask.
