Quebec’s COVID vaccination passport system makes its debut this week after hackers were able to replicate the vaccine QR codes of Premier François Legault and Health Minister Christian Dubé.

Last week, Dr. Brigitte Pinard, Acting Director of CISSSO, confirmed the Outaouais was now in the fourth wave of the pandemic.

Regional active cases doubled again as the fourth wave continued in the Outaouais which had 173 active cases (12,995 total, 12,534 recovered) as of August 30, 2021, up 91 from August 23.

There are seven hospitalizations at the designated COVID-19 centre in Hull, with zero people in intensive care. The regional death toll did not rise from last Monday, and stood at 215 as of August 30.

Within the RLS Pontiac, the CISSSO listed the following cumulative numbers on August 30*:

  • Municipality of Pontiac: 127 (no increase) 
  • Mansfield et Pontefract: 99 (+1) 
  • Fort Coulonge: 48 (no increase)
  • Shawville: 34 (no increase)
  • Campbell’s Bay: 17 (+1)
  • Waltham: 11 (+1)
  • Bryson: 10 (no increase)
  • Otter Lake: 8 (no increase)
  • L’Île du Grand Calumet: 8 (no increase)
  • L’Isle aux Allumettes: 8 (+2)
  • Bristol, Litchfield, Portage du Fort (five or less

    minimum one case)

  • Sheenboro, Thorne: five or less (minimum one

    case
