Sunday morning accident results in three hospitalizations

More than 10 firefighters from the Municipality of Pontiac Fire Department arrived to a Sunday car crash which occurred around 2 a.m.

The car struck a tree and sustained heavy damage to the front of the vehicle. 

“It was quite smashed up,” said Mansey.

Mansey said that the three passengers escaped from the vehicle on their own, but were taken by ambulance to the Gatineau hospital.

The MRC des Collines police department released a press release on the accident, saying that no drugs or alcohol was involved in the accident. The driver, however, fell asleep at the wheel.

The MRC des Collines police department said of those involved in the accident, two were in intensive care and in stable condition. The rear passenger, however, is said to be in critical condition and was transferred to CHEO.
