Tragically Hip Tribute band Little Bones is set to make their debut at the Shawville Fair.

The band, which takes its name from Tragically Hip song of the same name, has been playing together since 1995. They primarily play classic Tragicallly Hip songs but have been known to venture into classic Neil Young for their “Young and Hip” shows.

On the phone with The Equity, band manager and bassist, Dave Schroeder said the band was really looking forward to the upcoming show. The Fair isn’t their first show since the beginning of the pandemic, though. Just last week, the band played the Overlow Taproom in Ottawa.

“[The show in Ottawa] was amazing. I think fans can expect a lot of energy and a lot of love for the Hip. And a lot of contagious happiness with the return of live music,” said Schroeder.

This isn’t Shroeder’s first time at the Fair, though. He has been coming for years. The midway has always been a favourite.

Little Bones is made up of Dave Schroeder, manager, bass and vocals, Dan Hilts, Vocals, James Frew, Guitars, Don Richard, Drums, Jeff de Valk, Guitar and Vocals.

The band is set to play Friday night.
