Last Wednesday evening, roughly 15 firefighters from the Campbell’s Bay-Litchfield fire department arrived at the scene of an RV crash on Hwy 148 near Bryson.
Fire chief Kevin Kluke explained that the RV had an Alberta license plate and two passengers, one driver and one dog. He added that the driver was taken to the Pontiac Hospital with unknown injuries.
When a tow truck on the scene tried to pull the car out of the ditch, the cable snapped.
“It’s just because it’s heavy,” said Fred St Pierre, a tow truck driver who arrived at the scene of the crash. “I’m rated to pull 15,000 pounds.”
A backhoe was later called to the scene to help remove the RV from the ditch.
