Also we would like to congratulate Sam Hungate, son of Mark and Freddi, who was recognized as Sergeant Sam Hungate of the MCLA Police Department. His career in law enforcement began in 2014 as a patrol officer with the Monterey Police Department. He then transferred to the West Stockbridge Police Department in 2016 at which time he also began working for the Egremont Police Department as well. Then in 2018, he was hired at MCLA as a police officer and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in late 2020. However, a year after he started working at MCLA, he also took a part time job with the Cheshire Police Department where he is highly respected not only among the members of the department, but also by the many community members. As a young boy Sam spent his summers in Sheenboro and we got to see him grow into a fine and responsible young man. We wish you all the best.
The Fort William dock is now installed and ready for use. Dock users are encouraged to support the maintenance of the dock through an e-transfer or by PayPal via the website which is eaglemarine.ca. It is the last stop on the Ottawa River being the largest and most touristic on the Quebec side between Pembroke and Rapide and it receives no funding.
Keep safe and happy Mother’s Day.
