My sister Lynn and her husband David Leach sold her house in Chilliwack, BC last month and have been looking for a new place near Salmon Arms. Unfortunately the market went . . .

a little crazy and they were having a hard time finding a decent house at a fair price. But they found one on Saturday in Greenwood only a half hour drive away from where my other sister Norma lives in Midway.

Here’s a funny little story about Lynn and David. They lived on Greenwood Drive in Chilliwack and they’re moving to the town of Greenwood and Lynn’s last name Boisvert, is Greenwood in English. They can’t seem to get away from that name. They got the house within their budget and they get to move in at the end of May. It is a beautiful heritage house, is totally fenced in and has lots of storage in garage and sheds.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Jeff Belland on April 28, to Rose-Marie Shea and Anna Crawford on April 29, to Rod Quinn on May 1, to Barry Belanger on May 2, to Frank Frost on May 3, to Brian McCoshen and Gilbert Sparling on May 4.

Happy anniversary to Vicky and Jimmy Lepack on May 4.

What a change we had in the weather this weekend. It was supposed to rain all day Sunday but we didn’t get much and now they’re calling for rain the rest of this week, so we will have to wait and see what happens. We really do need the rain because it is very dry out there.

These past two weeks I’ve been cleaning and purging the house to get it ready for showing because I just listed the house with the real estate last Thursday with Remax. It is a very big job just trying to get the house in order and simplifying the living space. So, now my house is getting empty but the garage is getting really full and I have a lot of articles that I have to sell. Check out the ad in this week’s classifieds in THE EQUITY and in the weeks to follow.

We really can’t have any kind of yard sales so I’m going to post stuff on line, Facebook and yard sales sites and of course, in THE EQUITY. So keep an eye out on different articles every week that I have for sale. I’m also trying to empty my freezers of all the lasagnas and meat pies and turkey pot pie’s that I have premade.

On the news last night they said about 30 per cent of Canadians have had at least the first shot but we need to get a lot more people vaccinated to try and control the spread of COVID.

India has been overrun by the new variant and they have run out of oxygen and are pleading with the rest of the world to help them out. It is so scary to watch on TV. God bless them all.
