Katelyn Betrand, right, and Erin Whyte, left, pose as they tackle a virtual 100 km challenge for the Canadian Ski Marathon, which would have normally been held in person north of the Ottawa River in February. Bertrand, a Campbell’s Bay native and a grade 11 student at Ecole Secondaire Sieur de Coulonge, and Whyte, her godmother, tackled 50km a day from Feb. 19-20 whilte hitting the trails at Forest Lea in Pembroke. She said tht the challenge was a lot of fun for her and she’d love to do it again going forward. “It was amazing to do it, and the food was good after,” she told The Equity.
