The MRC Pontiac launched a new website on Nov. 20 called DestinationPontiac.ca, providing a “virtual welcome” to new residents and potential investors.

In a press release distributed by the MRC, communications officer Colleen Jones said that the project was aided by a $40,000 contribution from . . .

the Regional and Group Development Fund of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec.

“When a family, an individual or a business considers establishing themselves in the Pontiac, it is critical that they have the information that they need at their fingertips,” said economic development director Cyndy Phillips in the release.

The website provides information on topics relevant to any resident of the Pontiac, such as health care, community and lifestyle information and business financing.

The launch of this site and what the MRC describes as their “ongoing territorial marketing project” are linked with a promotional campaign that will be kicked off at the beginning of 2021. The goal of the campaign is “attracting new families, health professionals, entrepreneurs and large enterprises to settle in the Pontiac.”
