The Shawville Lions Club held their annual barbeque in support of the Terry Fox Run on Sept. 17, though the circumstances were a little different this year, due to public health restrictions. Instead of up at Pontiac High School, the grilling took place in the parking lot of Joanne’s Valu-mart.

“We normally do a barbeque for the run up at the school, but it’s not possible this year so this is the best we can do,” explained Lion Arnold Yach. “The turnout has been fantastic.”

This year’s event raised a total of $1,248.05.
