Denis and Viola Hearty put on a fantastic COVID style corn roast on Aug. 15. Bobby Ostrum and Jamie were a tremendous help setting up tents and decorations. They had a projector set up outside with speakers and a large screen.

Joyce Hearty was married to Edward Dubeau who passed away earlier this year. Joyce and her daughters Laurie and Tina and Tina’s two children, Skylee and Trey Yach drove from Alberta to be at the corn roast and also to return Edward back home. They showed a memorial tribute of Edward’s life on the outdoor theater. They are staying at Denis’s until the end of the month and then heading back home.

It was so nice to see everyone even though we can’t hug or get too close. It was still good to be with other people and just talk and hear some music and be outside under the stars. The meal was fantastic and they had a great turnout.

Thank you for hosting this corn roast. It’s nice to get family, neighbours and friends together.
