Next week, former Pontiacer and Beachburg resident Russell Mackay will be walking 125 km from his home to Ottawa to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Russell is 82 years-old, diabetic and legally blind but said he wanted to do something for the sick children. Donations can be made online here: cheofoundation.donordrive.com/campaign/PapaWalks4Kids.
