Quebec Education Minister Jean-François Roberge announced an updated back to school plan for . . .

elementary and secondary students on Aug. 10.

The plan includes several revisions to the one released in June, most significantly with regards to wearing masks. Students in grade five and up will be required to wear masks in common areas, but not in classrooms.

As of Monday afternoon, the Outaouais has 49 active COVID-19 cases (707 total, with 625 recovered), three hospitalizations and one person in intensive care. The Municipality of Pontiac continues to be listed as having five or less cases, while the MRC Pontiac total remains at zero.
