The past few weeks have finally seen a little bit of community activity resume as the province is gradually loosening COVID-19 restrictions, allowing for . . .
T-ball to start in Quyon. Kudos to Cecile Dumont for organizing this activity on Monday evenings for three to six year olds. I have been going to watch my nephew Noah play. It is so cute to see all of the little ones out on the field learning the basics. It’s wonderful to have a little normalcy back in our lives.
Congratulations to Jeff and Virginia (Schwartz) Freeborn on the birth of their baby girl, Georgia Raeon Aug. 4. She is a baby sister for Lily. Wishing the whole family all the best.
Birthday wishes are going out to Meghan MacKechnie and Maureen Curley on Aug. 12, to Oliver Brownlee on Aug. 14, to Dillon Draper and Carmel Côté on Aug. 15, to Troy Côté on Aug. 16, to Rylie McCann on Aug. 17 and to Sue Hamilton on Aug. 18. Best wishes to everyone celebrating this week.
The past few weeks have been difficult in the Luskville area as three house fires have devastated the community. Fortunately no lives were lost. It was comforting to hear that the Quyon Lions and Lionettes were there to help, as always, providing financial relief to all three home owners. We are so fortunate to have the Lions and Lionettes serving our community, especially during difficult times such as these.
