Two Luskville brothers are looking to raise money in support of local health care workers by selling heart badges that . . .

they designed themselves.

Mikaël, 10, and Zacharie Morel, 7, are members of the First Aylmer Scouts, though they have been scouting from home for the duration of the pandemic. They used their time during the lockdown to design a heart-shaped badge to raise money for the CISSS de l’Outaouais’ emergency fund campaign.

Their mother, Marie-Josee, said that the boys were inspired to help after watching the news and seeing what nurses and other front-line workers were going through.

After finishing their design, they had 200 of the badges made up through the company Emblemtek of Vankleek Hill, Ont.

The badges are being sold for $5, plus a dollar for shipping and can be purchased through heartbadge2020@outlook.com.
