While most golfers only dream about hitting a hole in one, last week a local man added yet another to his tally.
Dave Frost hit . . .
his fifth ace last Tuesday on the sixth hole at the Pontefract Golf Club in Mansfield, the fourth time he’s accomplished that feat on the same hole since 1992.
Back in 2001, Frost hit a hole in one on hole two at the course and won himself a new Oldsmobile.
He said there wasn’t anything special to his technique.
“I just keep my head down and I aim for the target and that’s it,” he said.
Frost added that even though he’s made the shot several times before it didn’t take away from his feeling of accomplishment.
“My first hole in one felt as good as my fifth one,” he said.
