SHAWVILLE July 22, 2020
The Pontiac Museum has opened for the summer with new rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The collection of . . .
historical artifacts, located on rue Lake in Shawville, is housed in the town’s former railway station building which dates back to the late 1800s.
According to a press release issued on July 20, visitors will be asked to sanitize their hands at the door and refrain from touching any of the surfaces or displays. Entrance will also be limited to two people or one household at a time and physical distancing must be maintained.
Two summer students, William Gray and Arianne Gionet-Laflèche, who were hired with federal grant funding, are serving as the museum’s assistant curators. The building will be open 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday until the end of August.
