I have more sad news, Gary Hearty passed away on March 8 in Ottawa, Ont. Gary was a long-term resident and well known in Vinton and will be greatly missed.

It’s supposed to be a glorious week and I heard from a reliable source that the maple sap is running and it looks like it’s going to be a great year for making maple syrup.
They need cold nights and warm days and that’s what we’re getting all this week. There’s lots of snow this year so it should have a long run.
