On Saturday evening, family and friends gathered at the Waltham Town Hall to celebrate a 40th birthday party in honour of Robin and Dereck Rochon. Everyone . . .

wished them well and enjoyed a wonderful evening. A lovely lunch and birthday cake were served. Jason Rochon, Dereck’s brother made it home from Iqaluit to share in the celebration.

Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with Joanne (nee McCallum) Sullivan and family of Chapeau, Que. in the sudden passing of her dearly loved husband Tim Sullivan.

On Sunday afternoon, a euchre tournament was held at the Waltham Station. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of cards. Lynne Dempsey-Amyotte won first place. Judy and Lyle Allard won second place and Andy Gardyne won third. Congratulations to the winners.

Brenda and Ian Rehel are celebrating their anniversary on Valentine’s Day. We hope that you have a romantic day.

Birthday wishes are extended to Frankie Turner who is celebrating his birthday on Feb. 16. We hope that you enjoy your special day.

Happy Valentine’s Day. I hope everyone enjoys some special time with their sweetie.
