Atoms and Peewees battle in the Pontiac Provincial Tournament

Atom A Lions

The Lions played the Gatineau Dynamites AA girls’ team losing a close one by 3-2. Scorers were Max Renaud and Pierce Rusenstrom with the lone assist going to Lucas Ethier. In the next game they . . .

defeated the Aylmer Vikings 3-1. Tristan Queale, Pierce Rusenstrom and Max Renaud were the goal scorers. They faced the Aylmer Vikings in the semi-finals losing 1-0 in a shootout.

Peewee A Lions

The Lions played their first game on Friday night against the Hull Citoyens losing 5-2. Liam Queale scored unassisted and set up Paige Dubeau for the second goal.

Saturday morning, they defeated the Nepean Raiders 3-2. Liam Queale led the way with a pair with the single going to Grayson Kilroy. Assists went to Olivier Maurier, Garrett Rusenstrom and Noah Oliviera.

Saturday evening, they shut out the Aylmer Icebergs 2-0. Liam Queale had both goals with Cade Kuehl getting an assist.

Sunday evening, they met the Hull Citoyens for the Championship. Hull opened the scoring then the Lions scored two to take the lead. Hull tied the game up then the Lions went on the offense scoring four to become champions. The goaltending duo of Bennett Rusenstrom and Jaxson Armstrong and the entire team contributed to the victory. Liam Queale led the way with four goals and one assist. Paige Dubeau had a goal and an assist, Garrett Rusenstrom had the winner. Mattthew Kavanagh,Vincent Gilbert, Noah Oliviera and Cade Kuel also had assists. Liam Queale was the tournament MVP and leading scorer. He also won the first James Russell Memorial Plaque. Special thanks to all of the fans for their support.
