Waltham was saddened to hear of the passing of Ronald E. Mattey. He was the dear friend of the late Jocelyne Gaudreau. Ron and Joecelyne lived in Waltham and then they moved to Aylmer, Que. He was a kind, gentle man and loved to sing in our church choir. Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with the Mattey and Gaudreau families at this sad time.
Birthday wishes are extended to Phil Perry who celebrated a birthday on Nov. 19.
On Saturday evening, our family gathered at Kelsey’s Restaurant in Petawawa, Ont. to celebrate our grandson Alex’s 15th birthday. Alex’s birthday is on Nov. 21. We enjoyed a lovely meal and tasty cupcakes. The staff joined in, and sang him “Happy Birthday.” Afterwards, we took in his hockey game at the Petawawa Civic Centre. The Eastern Ontario Cobras defeated The Upper Ottawa Valley Aces 4-1. It was a great game.
