Police have arrested a man in relation to a robbery that took place in a business located on . . .
rue Front in Campbell’s Bay around a month ago.
According to MRC Pontiac Surete du Quebec spokesperson Marc Tessier, police apprehended the suspect in Campbell’s Bay and detained him for interrogation before he presented himself in court the next day.
Marc Vilon, 34, appeared at the courthouse in Gatineau to face accusations of qualified theft and possession of narcotics. Vilon was eventually released with certain conditions.
On Sept. 6, at around 1:30 p.m., police reported that Vilon had entered the establishment and threatened one of its female staff members with pepper spray before fleeing with a sum of cash.
The case is ongoing and Vilon will appear in court in Gatineau at an undetermined date, Tessier said.
