After my article last week about the unwanted cats I was informed that there is a group called Animal Aide Pontiac. They are all about spaying and neutering. They have different programs that can help get your animals fixed. They are a nonprofit, volunteer organization promoting the welfare of domestic cats and totally rely on fundraising to help support their program. Their newest fundraiser is Recycle for Paws. They will accept pop cans (Quebec only), pop bottles, beer cans and bottles, liquor and wine bottles. Please help out in their new fundraiser by donating whatever you can. We have been having a couple of beautiful weeks weather wise. March came in like a lamb so I’m afraid it will go out like a lion. I’m sure we’re going to have a few more storms before it’s all over so don’t put away your snow shovels yet. I would love to get out my garden tools and get into spring fever but I think it’s a little premature.

Daylight savings time is this weekend so don’t forget to change your smoke detector batteries and put your clocks one hour ahead. It also is the start of our St. Patrick’s parties. So in advance, I would like to wish you all a happy St. Patrick’s Day and please keep safe while you’re celebrating.
This year Easter is very early with Palm Sunday on March 25 and Good Friday on March 30. I’m expecting my cousin Bob Mayhew and his girlfriend Rachel from Oshawa, Ont. and Freda and Jacques Dupuis and Ramona Dunahee for the weekend. I only hope that we don’t get any bad storms for that weekend so we can have a nice Easter.
