Our sympathy to the family and friends of Alex Russell who passed away last week. He was in his 90s. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
We had a snowy weekend but it was a little milder. On Sunday evening we had a little rain. We are into the last two weeks of February so hopefully we will have nicer weather and also the days are getting longer.
Today is St. Valentine’s Day and I hope you are having a wonderful day.
The Zion Lutheran Church is having a Lent Service on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. It will be followed by refreshments in the church basement.
This past weekend there were a lot of snowmobiles out. They finally have more snow for their trails after getting off to a late start.
This Saturday evening is the dinner and dance at the Otter Lake R. A. Centre put on by the Golden Age Club. This is always an enjoyable evening. I am not sure if there are any tickets left.
There have been a lot of deer seen lately on the roads so be careful when driving and be sure to watch for them.
Usually when you see one on the road there are one or two more behind in the bush and then they run out.
The wolves are still hanging around at Winnifred and Gerald Mielke’s and there is also one big, lone wolf crossing their field every few days. They also see a bald eagle flying around.
