It’s that quiet time of year again. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of news during the cold weeks of January. Then again, I’m hibernating and not leaving the house much for anything other than work so I’m not hearing much news these days. I hope everyone is keeping warm.
Despite the deep freeze this past weekend, I made an effort to get outdoors with friends on Sunday.
I dug out the snowshoes for the first time this season. We made a short trek from the Quyon rink, down along the riverbank a piece and back. We warmed up quickly once we got going and the scenery was beautiful. I do love the snow and getting out to enjoy it.
Not everyone enjoys winter as much as I do though and I’ve heard of quite a few folks who are making their way south this winter. A trip isn’t in the cards for me this year but I wish everyone who is going safe travels and fun in the sun.
Belated birthday wishes are going out to Gracie Côté who celebrated on Jan. 4. Happy days to everyone celebrating this week.
