A red ribbon, a trophy and five bucks went to four-year-old Marissa Ingalls of Shawville with her Jersey calf “Hoya” in the Pee Wee (Assisted) Dairy Showmanship class judged by Justin Crowley of Hastings, Ontario, whose father John judged similar classes at Shawville Fair some 30 years ago.

Bristol’s Amy Shepherd and Ben Judd take first and second place in the 4H lamb showmanship first thing Saturday morning.

Brynn Currie, 7 years old, won the hearts of the onlookers making her debut entry in the Draft Heavy Horse Line Classes on Saturday morning. After a morning of helping father Ryan Currie show in a handful of classes, she took the lead herself in the Heavy Horse Junior class.
Willy Rivet and his band REWD opened for the Washboard Union on September 2.
Washboard Union was the headlining act on Saturday night at the Shawville Fair during which the crowd could be heard singing along to many of the their songs.
Abigail Gibson of Smith Falls, Ontario won first place in the peewee beef class showmanship on Saturday afternoon.
Six-horse hitch teams kick up clouds of dust at the Draft Heavy Horse Hitch Show on Saturday afternoon.
