Mice everywhere

The Equity

My little stray cat is housebound because of the cold. She hates the cold. I don’t hate it but I do prefer spring. Since she’s been inside, I have found mice everywhere. I even stepped on a bigger one the other day. A real tripping hazard. I’m talking about all her toy mice, which I have acquired since she came into my house. People love to buy her toys and most of them are mice. It could be worse. Without her, the house could easily accommodate their real counterpart. I am thankful.

Realistically everyone comes with baggage. That goes for animals too. We live in a broken world. No one is perfect. So when we interact with people and animals, something will happen that is not fun. The key, I would say, is to deal with the bad, focus on the good, and then enjoy life. It is always a choice. Choose joy.
