Oktoberfest has come and gone for another year and what a great weekend it was. The weather was good with no rain for both days. From what I have heard the attendance was up from last year. Tom and I worked in the souvenir booth Sunday afternoon and we found that the sales were up from last year. Everyone seemed to be having a great time dancing to the German bands. The food was delicious again as usual.
The Hull Hospital called last Thursday to tell me to stop the blood thinners starting on Sunday before my surgery this Friday. It looks like it is on this time. I was worried they would be cancelling the surgery again because of the shortage of nurses that we heard about on the news. So I am very thankful it is finally going ahead.
Next week there probably won’t be any social notes from Ladysmith but maybe the following week there will be. They told me that I may be out in three days if things go well.
