As long as my little stray cat has lived with me, a year now, I have owned a small plant with long leaves. So it took me by surprise, the other day, when I noticed the leaves rustling. Sure enough, she has noticed it and added my plant to her collection of toys. Why now?
It made me think. How easy is it, to not see what is staring us right in our face. Moderation we are told. Too much of anything will inevitably do us harm. Plain as day, yet we blindly walk past every warning until we are in trouble.
Time to stop, look and think. But, intelligence is not enough! We need wisdom and God offers that to us freely in His Word. Choose wisdom. James 1:5-8
