Grape griping

Grape griping

The Equity

I went out the other day to look at the grapes growing in the back yard and to my dismay many of them were moulding on the vine.
My heart sank.
I had already begun to think about how many jars of jelly and how much grape juice I’d be making this fall. That won’t be happening.

Isn’t life just like that? You get your hopes up and something comes along to hinder all the good you intended. What can a person do? Losses take their toll. When it is what you depend on to live the stress is greater, but great or small, disappointment needs special attention. It would be easy to give up or become cynical but that just makes life harder. There has to be a better approach and there is.
Life from the underside, where we live, can be puzzling, but God in Romans 8:28, says that all things work together for good to those who love Him, those who are called according to His purpose. Remembering that nothing is beyond His reach can keep us from losing hope. If our faith is anchored in the One who made this world and sustains us, we will come through every storm. Our hope is sure.
