I hope everyone is enjoying summer, better late then never I guess.
I don’t know too much about what went on in town because I was away.
I was asked to let the seniors know that the Seniors Annual Soup and Sandwich lunch will take place on Oct. 2 at noon at the R.A. Hall in Campbell’s Bay. It is for all seniors from Campbell’s Bay and Litchfield and it is free of charge. For more info you can call Vera at 819-648-2603. Where else can you go and get a free lunch? I would say Go For It.

We were told at mass on Saturday that Father Ghislain could be back for this weekend. We hope so. Hopefully his illness has subsided. We wish him the best. I guess the next big thing is Oktoberfest in Ladysmith. A lot of people from all over usually attend this so we hope the good weather continues. Then look out turkeys, it will be Thanksgiving, a time for family.
I can’t believe we have gone so long without rain. I think now we could use some as the side roads are very dusty.
Can you imagine how warm the guys are that are already out there hunting? No big camo jackets and pants I am sure.
