A late-night car chase down Hwy. 148 resulted in a damaged Sûreté du Québec vehicle and pepper spray being used to apprehend the suspect.
Just after 3 a.m. on July 14, MRC des Collines police sought assistance in the pursuit of a GMC truck on Hwy. 148.

The driver had a warrant out for her arrest at the time of the pursuit.
Officers from the Sûreté du Québec intercepted the vehicle and when they tried to apprehend the suspect, she intentionally backed her vehicle into a police cruiser. No officers were injured.
The driver then fled northbound on Hwy. 301 and abandoned her vehicle near Huckabone Street in Bryson.
Police later found the driver under a bus and had to use pepper spray on the suspect in order to arrest her.
The 26-year-old Cantley woman was detained and was scheduled to appear in court on July 17.
She faces charges of assault with a weapon, fleeing officers, causing damage over $5,000 and obstructing police officers.
