The path has stones set in the ground and some lovely plants growing on each side.
I took the advice and sure enough with all the rain, the grass grew well. Today as I looked closer I realized that the grass was beginning to encroach on the other plants. I had made a mistake.
I spent the next two hours pulling out every blade. The result is quite lovely and I was even able to transplant all that new grass elsewhere.
Because the future is a mystery, there are times we will make choices that turn out detrimental. The key is to recognize we have chosen poorly and stop going in that direction. We must then begin to make a better choice. God says that we can have His wisdom if we ask. So prayer is essential.
In the case of the grass, two hours of weeding took care of the problem. Some relational or financial choices take a lot more thought and prayer to turn around, but, if we admit we are wrong and ask God, He is always willing to help us find a better way.
