The cannabis growing facility in Litchfield has cleared another regulatory hurdle and has been granted support to conduct a feasibility study.
The Quebec Ministry of Economy, Science and Innovation (MESI) has granted approval to LiveWell Foods Inc. to conduct a feasibility study on it’s nearly 600,000 square-foot research and innovation centre.
A feasibility study must be conducted in order to receive the necessary approvals from the Ministry of the Environment, Sustainable Development and the Fight Against Climate Change.

Earlier this year it was announced that LiveWell Foods aims to construct a world-class research and innovation centre as well as a massive cannabis growing facility at the Pontiac Industrial Park.
LiveWell CEO Michel Lemieux said the facility could employ up to 500 people once the facility is up and running.
The company got more good news in April when it announced a partnership with Canopy River Corporation, which is an investment arm of Canopy Growth Corporation, which is based out of Smiths Falls and was the first North American cannabis company to be publicly traded.
