Happy Valentine’s Day, I hope that everyone enjoys some special time with their sweetie.

On Saturday evening, the Waltham Fire Department and the municipal council held their appreciation dinner. Fire Chief Larry Perry welcomed everyone. Four student firefighters were recognized and celebrated as they have recently graduated from the Firefighter One training program. The graduates are Kevin Pilon, Gisele Chartrand, Jason Pilon and Scott Kelly. Richard Rehel was presented with the Firefighter of the Year award for 2017. Everyone enjoyed socializing and a lovely buffet dinner catered by Cheryl Smith’s catering.

On Sunday evening, Larry and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Westwinds with our dear friends Donna and Bob Maika of Petawawa, Ont.
Brenda and Ian Rehel are celebrating their wedding anniversary today. We hope that you have a romantic day.
Birthday wishes are extended to Frankie Turner, who is celebrating on Feb. 16. We hope that you enjoy your special day.
