Waltham residents were saddened to hear of the passing of Richard Denault. Richard was the dear brother of Raymonde (Aidan), Philip, Daniel (Gail). Richard had taught school many years ago and drove a school bus. Richard was an avid sportsman. He will be missed. Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who were in the path of and have suffered the devastating destruction of Hurricane Irma. We also pray for Mexico which suffered a major earthquake and also Hurricane Katie, those poor people. We can count our blessings.
On Thursday, the Birthday Club met at the Waltham Station. The birthday girls for September were Theresa Harkins, Rose Ann Rochon and Betty Allard. As usual everyone enjoyed good food, beautiful cake and socializing.

Birthday wishes are extended to little Gwendolyn Sinclair daughter of Carley and Rod Sinclair, of Pembroke, Ont. who celebrated her second birthday on Sept. 10. We hope that it was a fun filled day Gwendolyn.
