Happy birthday wishes to to little Ryker Pilon, son of Andrea (Venne) and Matthew Pilon, who celebrated his second birthday on Aug. 12.
Congratulations are extended to Amy Thomson and Andrew Pelletier, who were married in Bonfield, Ont. this past Saturday.
On Saturday, Les Carroll along with the Waltham Anglers Association organized the Waltham Bass Tournament.

There were 12 teams. The first place winners were; Barry Grosleg and Troy Quinton with a catch of 10.34 lbs. Second place – Derek Rochon and Riley Rochon 9.36, third place – Tom Durocher and Reid Lewis 9.32; fourth place – Ian Morin and Slyvio Morin 9.04. The mystery weight was won by Les Carroll and Gerald Chassie 5.64. The proceeds of the tournament were going to the Waltham Fire Department.
Our family was saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Paul Pilon of Pointe Gatineau, Que. He was the beloved husband of the late Leona (nee Ethier). He was the cherished father of André (Margaret), Jean (Nicole), Bernard (Pauline), Denise (Leo), Marie Paule (Roger), Charles (Suzanne) Lise, Monique (Mario). Uncle Paul was the station agent for the CPR Railway here in Waltham years ago before he was transferred to Gatineau. He was a quiet man and very devoted to his family. Our heartfelt sympathy, thought and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.
