On Thursday evening, the Readers Choice Awards took place at the Bryson’s Bistro du Bucheron in Fort Coulonge. Congratulations is extended to all the deserving recepients.
On Saturday afternoon, the Pelletier family, and friends of Waltham, gathered at the Waltham Town Hall for a Celebration of Life in honour of the late Donald Pelletier. Donald was born and raised in Waltham, but had moved to Edmonton, Alberta. Family and friends reminisced and shared stories of their memories of Donald. Everyone enjoyed delicious supper.
On Saturday evening, family and friends gathered at the Waltham Station Restaurant to celebrate Earl McKnight’s 80th birthday. Everyone expressed their love and best wishes to Earl. A tasty dinner and a beautiful cake were enjoyed by all. Earl expressed his appreciation to all who came and for the lovely cards and gifts.
On Sunday afternoon St. Alphonsus Parish held their annual turkey supper with all the trimmings. It was a huge success.
Birthday wishes and love are extended to Charlie Ethier, who celebrated his birthday on Sept. 21. May you be blessed with many more years of health and happiness.
As the heating season approaches, the Waltham Fire Department urges residents who are heating with wood burning stoves and furnaces to have their chimneys cleaned and inspected, before they start to use their wood burning appliance.
