It was another busy week for me. Last Thursday I attended the wedding of Dan Dunahee and Sunyoung Kim. Heather Mayhew Boyd came with me. A beautiful wedding was held at the McPhail Memorial Baptist Church on Bronson Ave. in Ottawa, Ont. The reception was at Baton Rouge on Albert Street and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. Daniel is the son of Ramona Mayhew Dunahee and his wife comes from South Korea where they are returning to reside.
I met a lot of my nieces and cousins and we had a great time. Dan had lost 40 pounds so I could hardly recognize him and actually said it to his sister Angela. I was happy to see Cheryl Mayhew and her boyfriend Dennis because I haven’t seen her for a few years.
On my way back home I stopped in to see Linda McCoshen Bérubé who is a patient at the Gatineau Hospital. She was quite happy to see me and I was glad I stopped in.
Heather and I also stopped in to see Earl and Betty Mayhew in Aylmer, Que. We couldn’t stay long but we had a nice visit.
On Sunday, Earl and Betty drove to my place and spent the afternoon. Later on that evening Karen and I played bingo on the radio with no luck.
I’d like to wish the following people a very happy birthday Lee Belanger, Connie Belanger and Benjamin Kluke all on Aug. 15, Wayne Brown and Christopher Shea both on Aug. 16, Sharon Larivière on Aug. 17, Joe Geremian on Aug. 18, Jacob Narlock on on Aug. 20 and Danny Lepack Jr. on Aug. 21.
I would like to wish a happy anniversary to Linda and Steve Romain on Aug. 15, Cindy and Brian Corriveau on Aug. 16, Wayne and Sheila Brown on Aug. 17, Chantal and Thomas Desjardins, Carol and Pat Kavanagh both on Aug. 19, Phil and Christina Dubeau on Aug. 20 and Pat and Ruth Hearty on Aug. 21.
We are still being tortured with all this heat but at least the nights are cool. I can hardly wait until it lets up because I personally cannot do any work outside.
I have lots of spaghetti squash for sale at $5 each. Just give me a call and make sure I’m here to pick them up. You can keep spaghetti squash in your house nearly all winter in a cool, dark, dry place.
My cantaloupe will soon be ready, probably by next week and I also will be selling that.
