The front driver’s side of an SUV was torn off when the vehicle crossed the centre line and struck a logging truck travelling the opposite way on Hwy. 148. The impact to the truck is pictured below. The driver of the SUV was transported to the Hull hospital with serious injuries.

The front driver’s side of an SUV was torn off when the vehicle crossed the centre lane on Hwy. 148 on Dec. 7.
The accident took place on Hwy. 148 near the intersection of ch. des Hauts Vents.
The driver of the SUV was headed eastbound towards Aylmer when it crossed the centre line and struck a wheel on a logging truck. Fortunately, the logging truck wasn’t carrying any cargo at the time of the collision.
Police, firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and the driver of the SUV was taken to the Hull hospital with serious injuries.
The highway was closed for a short period of time as the police conducted the investigation.
The police said driver distraction or fatigue could have caused the accident.
