Quyon – Jillian Young
Our deepest sympathy to the Dolan family, as Alice (Mulligan) Dolan passed away on Feb. 15 at the age of 93. Mrs. Dolan was the owner of Dolan’s Fabric Shop in both Quyon and Renfrew for many years, as well as a longtime member of the CWL and the Quyon Lionettes. She was a pillar of this community, and she will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones as they grieve.
The Quyon Legion was a busy spot last week, as they hosted the Quyon Lions Club’s annual Pancake Supper on Tuesday evening, with a great crowd out to enjoy this beloved tradition. The Lions served up a delicious supper, and everyone had a nice night visiting with friends and neighbours. Then the following evening, the Legion held a take-out Valentine’s dinner of BBQ chicken with all the trimmings, which was enjoyed by many and raved about by all who took part.
Birthday wishes are going out to Sarah (McKenny) and Ian Dagenais, as they share a birthday on Feb. 21. We also have birthday wishes going out to Parker Alexander on the 21st, to Tanner Belland on the 22nd, and to Isaac Cote turning 8 on the 23rd. Happy birthday to Sara McCann-Richards on the 24th, and to Dryden Frobel on the 25th. Blessings to all celebrating this week.

Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with Terry Blaire and family in the recent passing of his dearly loved sister Fay Marion Ziese (nee Belaire) of Pembroke. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Ziese.
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Sandra “Sandy” Bertrand (nee Leblanc), of Fort Coulonge. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Bertrand. Our heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with her children, grandchildren, family and friends at this difficult time.
Birthday wishes and love is extended to my dear friend Betty Grieve of Pembroke, who is celebrating her birthday on Feb. 22. Enjoy your special day Betty.
Shawville – Lyse Lacourse
Our deepest condolences to the Coles family on the loss of George on Feb. 12, at the age of 73. George was the husband of Jean and was the father of the late Julie-Lynn, Lisa and Dave (Samantha). George was the brother of the late Joan (Wayne), late Cindy (Mike) and Judy (Steve).
Our thoughts and prayers for the Dolan and Mulligan families on the loss of Alice on Feb. 15, at the age of 93. Alice was the wife of the late Earl and was the mother of Cathy, Terry (Dawn), Cheryl and Ivan (Madeleine).
