A Shawville woman was sent to the Hull hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries on Friday after she was struck by a bus.
The woman was struck by an adapted TransporAction bus on Clarendon Street in Shawville on Dec. 8.
The bus had just dropped off a passenger. When the driver got back in the bus to resume his route, a funeral procession was passing by.
The driver put the bus in reverse to avoid the procession and take another street when he struck the woman.
The woman was struck on a section of Clarendon Street where there are no sidewalks.
Police are still investigating, and the driver could face negligence-related charges.
