Our deepest sympathies to the Hodgins family on the loss of James on Dec. 8, at the age of 82.  

Our condolences to the Smith family on the loss of Iris on Dec. 14, at the age of 93.  Iris used to be the Social Notes writer for Campbell’s Bay.

HGTV – Home Town Takeover – The Municipality of Shawville has applied for the HGTV Show Hometown Takeover Canada and is requesting that seniors, students, businesses and residents put together a 5-10 second video clip on “What Shawville Means to You?”.  Please send your clip to office@shawville.ca by Dec. 24, at noon.  

Congratulations to the winners of the Municipality of Shawville Christmas Lighting Contest.  The best residential winner is Mr. Richard Meisner.  Honourable mentions are Mr. Terry Campbell and Mr. Denzil Yach.  The best business winner is Bronsons Boutique.  Honorable mentions are Jolie Folie and Studio Jenn.  Thank you to all who participated.

The Pontiac Agricultural Society hosted a Christmas Market with over 30 vendors on Saturday.  Congratulations on a successful Christmas event.

The Shawville-Clarendon Library will be hosting the Lego Club on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 6:00 p.m.  All are welcome to attend.

Happy birthday to Harry Dale who will be celebrating his birthday on Tues. Dec. 23.

The Pontiac Agricultural Society will be hosting two days of free public skating on Sat., Dec. 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
