The Shawville Lions Club made a significant pledge to the fundraising efforts of the Villa James Shaw on Thursday. The Lions agreed to contribute $50,000 to the non-profit retirement residence over a period of five years, once shovels break ground at the site in town. The Lions were also proud to share that they had raised $1,700 for CHEO at their annual barbeque on June 1, with the Shawville Lionettes raising an additional $500 to contribute, too.
