Robert and Heather MacKechnie, owners of Shawville Ford, received the prestigious Diamond Award from Ford Motor Company at Beverly Hills, California. This is the eighth time Shawville Ford has received this honour.
The Diamond Award is awarded to Ford dealers who achieve the top 20 per cent of market share and customer satisfaction in Canada. Market share is based on new vehicle sales nationwide. The Ford Motor Company sales of Ford trucks alone has climbed from 38 per cent of all trucks sold nationwide in 2015 to 52 per cent in 2017. Shawville Ford has achieved almost double the criteria to receive this award. Customer satisfaction is based purely on the purchase experience and after-sales service.
Placing in the top five per cent in Canada every year since the inception of the Diamond Award in 2010, Shawville Ford placed in the top one per cent of dealers in the year 2012.
Along with the Diamond Award, Shawville Ford has received the Distinguished Dealer Award 25 times in the 34 years the MacKechnie’s have owned the franchise. They were also the only Ford dealership in the Ottawa Valley acknowledged in 2017 with the Diamond Award.
