I hired a person to clean the leaves out of my eavestroughs recently. It’s a pretty easy job and I’ve done it by myself all along. It means going up and down a ladder, which is also simple, except, when I took sick recently, I fainted. Being on a ladder when you cannot trust your body to behave anymore is not wise, so I chose to be wise.
Giving up doing what we used to do makes sense, but it’s not easy. We want control and independence. It’s the same with faith. Faith means – let go. When I choose to trust, God will steer me in a way that my life, no matter how old I get, will be filled with peace and joy. Try it. It’s not easy either, but well worth it.
