The Pontiac Lions Peewee C team competed Feb. 4 at the Best Buy Cup in Laval, Que.
It was a great challenge for them as they competed on an outdoor rink, old-fashion style in a snow storm.
They won their first three games to make it to the finals against the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
The players gave their all throughout the day. Defenseman Kolten Mohr had a penalty shot and added a goal to Hunter Milford’s two goals to make it to the finals. Parents cheering and watching from the sidelines agreed that it was an exciting game to watch.
Lucas Barré was on fire for the final game scoring four goals to help win a second championship title in only seven days.
“I am so proud of all our team” said team manager Karine Laurier. “We had an excellent season and it’s not over. We still have our playoffs coming up and our last tournament is April 6 to 8 in St. André-Avellin, Que. Let’s make it three out of three boys. Go Lions go.”
