Pontiac Continuing Education Centre has graduated a new cohort of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). This involved 1,800 hours of intense theory and clinical placement. All their hard work has assisted this class in their preparation for the licensing exam and their future careers. The graduates wrote the exam on March 17. Many have already found work in the health care field. The teachers are very proud to have assisted in the guiding and mentoring of this most distinguished group and wish them every success in all endeavours.
A new program entitled Institutional and Home Care Assistance will be starting in the fall of 2018. It will allow for a dual career in health after only 870 hours. Graduates will be able to work in a hospital, residence or home type setting. As always it allows a perfect pairing of theory and hands-on practice. It remains FREE for residents of Quebec.
